ETHICAL AND RESPONSIBLE
BUSINESS NETWORK

About Us
ERBN is an organization affiliated with the Wisconsin School of Business, consisting of approximately 50 members. Founded in 2013, ERBN exists to educate students and businesses about ways sustainability and profitability go hand-in-hand, to provide hands-on experiences in real-life business planning, and to instill the knowledge, skills, and commitment to be an ethical and responsible business leader. We achieve these goals through pro-bono consulting partnerships, speaker presentations, networking events, professional development workshops, volunteering, socials, and more!
Our Mission
Our mission is to create an inclusive environment where members can learn about sustainability through speaker events, consulting projects and other opportunities that enhance members' experience, skills, and network.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
At ERBN, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) are fundamental values we uphold at every level of our organization. We are committed to maintaining a culture of respect, belonging, and empowerment for all of our members. We take time to ensure that everything from speaker events to consulting projects celebrates diverse backgrounds, identities, perspectives, and experiences that enrich our collective wisdom. We take steps to ensure that all students, regardless of background, have equal access to the unique opportunities and resources ERBN provides. We stay engaged with opportunities outside of the Wisconsin School of Business, where members can connect with different communities and attend events celebrating diversity.
DEI and environmental & social justice (ESJ) are core values at ERBN. These mutually reinforcing concepts are deeply intertwined, and we recognize that some groups face more challenges and risks than others due to historical and systemic oppression, discrimination, and marginalization. By embracing DEI and ESJ, we seek to empower and amplify the voices and perspectives of those most affected by issues such as climate change, pollution, poverty, and health disparities. We are committed to highlighting intersectionality and continuously improving ERBN to achieve a more just and sustainable future for ourselves and the planet.
